Emilian Pospaii was born in Pucioasa, Romania where he developed an early interest in poetry and nature, closely observing his family’s projects. He was encouraged by his grandmother’s protestant books, his grandfather’s experiments in calligraphy and his mother’s affinity for landscaping. After studying design and costume strategies at the National University of Arts (Master Student 2011-2013) he moved to Bucharest where he now lives and works.
His practice encompasses poetry, publishing and illustration, drawing, decanted clay ceramics and tapestry, while his installations are often comprised of both original work and reevaluated objects.
